Behavior Analysis:
Led by a PhD-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the Behavior Science Department uses
scientifically proven methods to change socially significant behavior. The focus of this
department is to target inappropriate behaviors, and teach residents new social and behavioral
skills to replace the undesired behaviors.Staffed by a team of Board Certified Analysts and Board Certified Associate Analysts, MACtown has fully adopted a philosophy of positive reinforcement. This approach has significantly reduced the amount of medication many residents had been taking for years, while decreasing patterns of inappropriate behaviors.
